Keep up with justmegan!
February 2nd, 2008
Hello, to our beloved justmegan followers!
Keep up with us on our official site –via blogging! We expect a clean and friendly environment so unless it’s directly related to our MUSIC or SIDE PROJECTS and is something that could be said in front of all (we have young fans and are setting a positive example for them!), it doesn’t belong here. Otherwise, we anxiously await your thoughts! Keep checking our news as we will be updating it VERY soon with NEW info!!!
Keep on rockin’!

February must inspire me to tell the world what I’m listening to! …that and the many fans who ask, “What do YOU listen to?” So, after a peaceful weekend with my hubby, my Canon Rebel, my guitar, my car, and my eclectic collection of music hanging out in my visor, here it is!
WHAT’S IN MEGAN’S CD VISOR 2/15/09
ARTIST/ALBUM
* Nights in Rodanthe Soundtrack: Emmylou has an INCREDIBLE track here. (On a side-note, this album holds great personal meaning, as Megan was married at North Topsail Island, NC, where the story takes place and was filmed.)* Putula Clark: The Other Man’s Grass is Always Greener * The Rembrandts: Self Titled (1990 –Pre-FRIENDS-”I’ll Be There For You”)
* The Clash: Combat Rock
* B52’s: Self Titled (featuring “Rock Lobster!”)
* Kings of Leon: Only By Night
* Suzanne Vega: Solitude Standing
* Fleetwood Mac: Tango in the Night
* Brian Mason: Almost There (Talented musician and amazing friend! Look for our collab, soon!)
* Toad the Wet Sprocket: Bread and Circus
* Little Big Town: A Place to Land (Not a huge “Country” fan, but this album is great…I’m obsessed with “Fine Line”)
* The Yeah Yeah Yeahs: Forever to Tell
* The Pretenders: Pirate Radio

So, the 80s are making a huge comeback!
As you know, we are fans of musical talents across the board. However, we DO have a weakness for new wave music and the 80s!
Let’s check out the evidence….
* Have you seen the skinny jeans? Have you seen the vibrant hot colors? Have you seen the sweater dresses? I, Megan, have and am PUMPED about this. I was just in a little shop where I found a necklace that had random junk on it…yes, random junk. The necklace was comprised of a plain chain with little trinket charms like a key, a cheap engagement ring, paperclip, etc…
* Not to mention musical trends: have you heard a new rebirth of the synthesizer? It’s great! Did you think you’ve heard a lick from something familiar…perhaps from a hairband? Notice some songs that are being covered now: “Beat It” (Originally by Michael Jackson, now covered by Fall Out Boy featuring John Mayer) and we don’t want to miss many songs of today that sample a song from the 80s…listen closely and you’ll probably hear it!
Oh yes….everything comes back around and FINALLY the 80s HAVE returned!

AND NOW THE BIG QUESTION!
Ok, so…
Here’s the big question we’ve been getting: “Megan, what music do you listen to?”
So, I will reveal my CD player contents –at least in my car!
